Our First Lady

Mother Paulette Russell

Lady Paulette Mooney Russell is a native of Nashville, TN. She began her Christian walk at a very young age. She serves alongside her husband Pastor B. L. Russell, Sr. at Antioch Primitive Baptist Church. She is affectionately known as Mother Russell by her Antioch Church family. She serves as, a greeter, deaconess, choir member, Sunday School teacher, Bible Study teacher, and with the Education Committee. Since 1987, Mother Russell has used her God-given gift of teaching, through speaking, conducting workshops, conferences, and training teachers. Her passion is teaching God’s word to equip others to be disciples and to work in the gift(s) God has given them. She is compassionate about serving with the People Helping People Ministry that serves meals to the elderly weekly. She is a devoted wife and enjoys supporting her husband in whatever capacity needed. In her leisure time, she enjoys baking, traveling, and spending time with family. Mother Russell stated that it is her utmost desire to stand firm on the Word of God and to be a living example to females of all ages. She says if she strives to do all that the Master has called her to do, then she will serve mankind to the best of her ability not only teaching the Word of God in a classroom but teaching it in her everyday walk of life. Her favorite Bible verses are: Proverbs 3:5-6: “Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths. Romans 8:37-39: “Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us. For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.”
